At Bimba’s Doggy Salon, we have a real soft spot for Pomeranians. These fluffy little dogs are full of personality, confidence, and charm. Their coats are beautiful but also delicate, which means they need careful, knowledgeable grooming to stay healthy and look their best. That is exactly why we created a dedicated Pomeranian spa day focused on comfort, coat health, and a beautifully balanced finish.
Here is how we care for our Pomeranian guests from start to finish.
1. Gentle brushing to remove old hair
We always begin by brushing the coat thoroughly to remove loose and old hair. This step helps prevent matting, improves airflow to the skin, and prepares the coat for bathing. For Pomeranians, correct brushing is essential to protect the undercoat and maintain natural volume.
2. Bath with IV St Bernard green caviar
Next comes the bath, using IV St Bernard green caviar products. Green caviar is rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that deeply nourish both skin and coat. It helps strengthen the hair, improve elasticity, and restore shine without weighing the coat down. This makes it ideal for Pomeranians, whose coats need hydration while staying light and fluffy.
3. Spa cabin relaxation and 360-degree blow dry
After the bath, your Pomeranian relaxes in our spa cabin. The 360-degree blow dry gently and evenly dries the coat while keeping the experience calm and comfortable. This step supports coat structure and helps achieve an even, natural finish. And sometimes a small siesta!
4. Controlled blow drying and brushing
Once out of the spa cabin, we continue blow drying while brushing the coat carefully. This allows us to straighten the hair, enhance volume, and create that signature Pomeranian fluff while keeping the coat healthy and smooth.
5. Paw care, sanitary trim, and nails
We clean and tidy the hair between the paws, carefully trim the sanitary areas, and cut the nails. These details are important for hygiene, comfort, and overall wellbeing, not just appearance.
6. Scissoring to suit the dog’s natural silhouette
We finish with precise scissoring tailored to each dog’s natural shape and lifestyle. Our goal is never to overcut but to enhance the Pomeranian’s silhouette while keeping the coat functional, balanced, and beautiful.
